Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Sakura/Sakura Shoes

The iconic MEXICO 66 model was born in 1966 and debuted at the 1968 Olympic games pretrials in Mexico with a premium white leather, stitched with a red and blue ASICS Stripe design.
Today, the classic runner has been reawakened and remains the most popular shoe in the ONITSUKA TIGER collection.
ONITSUKA TIGER has teamed up with Japan's Maito Design Works to bring you Kusaki Zome, botanical dye series. The Japanese material used for the shoe upper is hand dyed with 100% natural dye in Fukuoka, Japan. It is a time consuming and labor intensive process but it also requires veteran craftsman's skill and instinct to get the right colors especially for the substantial production. There is no chemical or synthetic dye used by dye house and it is 100% pure plant based. Due to the unique dyeing process, there may be color inconsistency. It is a characteristic of this product and should not be considered a defect.
